STEMGuyana is occupying the time of junior and senior students over the August holidays with a variety of Robotics training programmes, from Beginner to Advanced levels.
The training programmes include Scratch Coding and creating Android mobile apps.
MoPT has made donations to STEMGuyana of funds to the STEM initiative, and over the past 4 months approximately, donated beginners Robotic Kits to the Robotic Clubs at the St. Pius and Sophia Primary schools. More recently, the Guyana Council of Organizations for Persons with Disabilities accepted a donation of specialized kits from Minister Hughes for their Robotics Clubs at 4 schools – St. Barnabas, Diamond, McKenzie and Sophia.
STEMGuyana plans to teach 150 students and youths to create websites, including disabled persons, during this 2-month holiday stint. They began in the MoPT’s Boardroom.
